Poor Richard's Restorations Montclair, NJ
Hi Rick:
My dad (Tom Patterson) sent me my mom's silver tray, which you so lovingly restored. My reaction was "Wow! This came out amazing!" I am definitely looking forward to using it for many holidays to come, with pride.
Needless to say, the jewelry was a total shock and a wonderful surprise. I loved how you chose the shell detail from the tray and crafted it into earrings and pin for me, and a tie tack for my husband, Brett. The rubies were the perfect touch, not only because they are my birthstone, but it was my mother's birthstone as well. And the fact that it is a gift from my dad makes it overwhelmingly special. As Brett will attest, I am a loving wife, but at the same time I will always be Dad's little girl.
My dad sent the jewelry separately from the tray, so at first I did not see the Poor Richard connection. But the fishlike symbol caught my eye in the pieces, and I wondered, "Where have I seen this before?" It wasn't until my dad told me that you had designed it that it hit me -- midnight rainbow!
Thank you so much, Rick, for such a a wonderful job on the tray and the jewelry. As I anticipate many compliments on these pieces, I will be happy to enlighten the people of Chicago on the good work of Poor Richard"s.
Sincerely,
Janet Bourbin
